The small commodity capital of the world
Yiwu, located in the middle of Zhejiang Province, belongs to Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It is 55 kilometers (34 miles) from Jinhua city and 158 kilometers (98 miles) from Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province. Known as the “World capital of small commodities”, Yiwu is the largest wholesale market of small commodities in the world, with more than 1.8 million kinds of commodities in 236 categories. Products are exported to more than 210 countries and regions. So most of the foreigners you see in Yiwu are businessmen, not tourists. The place they will visit is Yiwu Commodity City, which consists of Yiwu International Trade City, Huangyuan Clothing Market and Binwang Market. All kinds of goods such as clothes, toys, accessories, furniture and electronic products can be found there. To adapt to the city’s booming economy and accelerated urbanization, the city has developed a number of public facilities, including star-rated hotels, convenient transportation and entertainment venues.

Yiwu is the hometown of many ancient historical figures. For example, King Luobin (618-907), the great patriotic poet of the Tang Dynasty, Zong Ze (960-1127), the patriotic general of the Northern Song Dynasty, Zhu Danxi, the four great doctors of the Jin and Yuan dynasties, and Chen Wangdao, Feng Xuefeng and Wu Han all contributed to modern China.
With a history of more than 300 years, the 510 meters long Old Buddhist Hall Street is still full of shops, many of which are time-honored shops. All the buildings in the street are built in Ming and Qing dynasties, which belong to the whole wooden structure. The street surface is paved with goose soft stone, which is vicissitudes of life and elegant. Everything in the old street is simple and natural, cornices and carved doors and Windows, quiet and elegant. Shuttle in it, feel the primitive life breath, there will be a feeling of going back in time. Huaxi Forest Park is located in the northeast corner of Ersanli Street. It was rated as a provincial forest park by the Provincial Forestry Department in 1998. With a total planning area of 1771 hectares, it is only about 10 kilometers away from the city center and 5 kilometers away from the center of Ersanli Street. The scenic spot has a pleasant climate, different natural landscape forms, deep canyons, Qifeng rocks, Xitan waterfalls, Huguang mountains, dizzying. Deshengyan Forest Park located in Houzhai Street, Deshengyan Provincial Forest Park is an urban forest park with a forest coverage rate of 89.53%. Natural landscape resources and cultural landscape resources complement each other. The most representative ones include Deshengyan, Jingju Zen Temple, Hangjin Ancient Road and Lingkou Reservoir. Desheng Rock is a good place for Yiwu citizens to climb through the ages. Jingju Zen Temple was built in the eighth year of Xiantong in the Tang Dynasty, more than a thousand years ago. Santing Road is famous in Yiwu for its night food market. The market not only cooks up casseroles, brochette, congee, duck head and booth fried dishes, but also sells a random assortment of clothes, shoes and knick knacks. 2) Exotic Food Street
Exotic Food Street is so called because of its wide choice of international cuisine. You’ll find Muslim, Korean, Japanese and Brazilian BBQ restaurants dotted along the street, as well as many other international flavours. Nightlife lovers all like to flock here too. After 16:00 every day, restaurant owners will open large umbrellas in front of the doors and wait for their customers to come while preparing foods. 3) Ximen Food Street
There are many distinctive restaurants around the Ximen Street, especially Sichuan restaurants with Yiwu characteristics. Special foods such as Spicy Crayfish, Stinky Tofu, Boiled Fish with Pickled Cabbage and Chili, and various noodles are all recommended. 4) Huagong Road Food Street

Warm spring, hot summer, cool autumn, and cold winter.
Spring: Mar.-Apr. Temperature: 10C/50H-25C/77H. If you go to Yiwu in this time, sweaters, suits and shirts would be enough.
Summer: Jun.-Aug. Temperature: 25C/77H-35C/95H. It rains a lot in June, day in and day out. Shorts, thin shirts, skirts would be ideal. Sun glasses, sun-creams would be a plus.
Autumn: Sep.-Nov. Temperature: 10C/50H-25C/77H. Any clothes you wear with this temperature.
Winter: Dec.-Feb. Temperature: 0C/32H-10C/50H. Winter clothes like thick coat, warm socks, gloves… anything that can keep you from cold.
